Buying guide

Not sure which screw to buy?

Start with the application and environment. With a photo, drawing or sample, ESHUA can help you validate the most suitable fastener.

Before choosing

Five questions prevent many purchasing mistakes.

Application

What will the fastener hold or assemble? Is it maintenance, structure, sheet metal, wood, plastic or machinery?

Environment

Will it be indoors, outdoors, with humidity, chemicals, heat or corrosion risk?

Load

Will it carry weight, vibration, movement, pull-out force or only light positioning?

Base material

Define if the base is steel, stainless, aluminum, wood, concrete, plastic or sheet metal.

Size and access

Measure diameter, length, thread, head type and tool access. A photo helps.

Finish

Choose galvanizado/zinc, pavonado, tropicalizado, nickel, stainless or special finish according to the environment.

Common families

What each fastener is usually for.

Screw

Usually threads into a tapped hole, nut or material prepared to receive it.

Self-tapping screw

Forms or cuts its own thread in sheet metal, wood, plastic or light materials.

Bolt

Works with a nut or threaded component for stronger assemblies.

Nut

Locks a bolt, stud or threaded rod from the opposite side.

Washer

Distributes load, protects surfaces or helps with vibration depending on type.

Anchor

Fixes components to concrete, masonry or walls.

Rivet

Permanent fastening when there is limited access to the back side.

Threaded rod

Useful for suspension, leveling, anchoring or custom lengths.

When to ask for advice

Ask before buying when the application is critical.

If the part supports load, vibration, corrosion, safety, production stoppage or an unusual material, send the drawing, photo, sample or specification before deciding.

FAQ

Fastener buying questions.

How do I know which screw I need?

Start with application, base material, load, environment, size and finish. If you have a photo, drawing or sample, ESHUA can help validate the option before quoting.

What is the difference between galvanized and stainless?

Galvanized is a protective finish usually applied over steel; stainless is a material with higher inherent corrosion resistance. Selection depends on environment and use.

Can I quote with a photo, sample or drawing?

Yes. For unidentified or special parts, a photo, sample, drawing or technical reference helps review size, material, finish and alternatives.

What if I cannot find the part in the catalog?

You can request support through the quote form or WhatsApp. The team reviews whether the part can be sourced, substituted or manufactured to specification.
